2024 Girls State JO Fastpitch Tournament
USA Softball of Montana crowns five JO Girls Fast Pitch State Champions
The The Montana State JO Girls State Tournament in Kalispell finished on Sunday, July 14, in five divisions of play. After 120 games champions were crowned in the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U divisions.
10U Division - Final Bracket
The Emeralds Hunt from Kalispell defeated the Montana XTreme of Billings 6-2 to take the title. The Emeralds went undefeated scoring 40 runs over four games and only allowing 6 runs. The XTreme lost to the Montana Wildfire from Missoula early Saturday and came back through the loser’s bracket to beat the Wildfire in the semi-finals and advance to the championship. Wildfire took third.
12U Division - Final Bracket
The Montana Avalanche Larson from Missoula had to go to the “if necessary” game to defeat Emeralds Bauer/Stickney 5-2 for the title. The title game was the third time the teams met in the tournament. The Avalanche beat the Emeralds 7-6 in their first meeting and they met again in first championship game. The Emeralds won 4-3. Montana Avalanche Ries finished third losing to Emeralds Bauer/Stickney and Avalanche Larson.
14U Division - Final Bracket
The Montana Avalanche from Missoula put on an offensive and defensive show on Sunday to win the title. In its two games on Sunday the team scored 23 runs and allowed 3. The Emeralds Grady from Kalispell finished second losing to the Avalanche 14-2 in the title game. The 406 Flyers from Billings finished third losing to the Avalanche and Emeralds.
16U Division - Final Bracket
The 16U Champion is the Billings Blizzard. The Championship was settled in the “if necessary” game with the Blizzard defeating the Bitterroot Sparks 9-1. The Blizzard lost to the Sparks on Saturday 9-8 then went undefeated from there on out. The Blizzard won the first championship game 6-5 to require the “if necessary” game. Great Falls Fusion Dean took third.
18U Division - Final Bracket
The 406 Playmakers from Billings took the 18U Division title. The Playmakers defeated the Montana Avalanche Cooke from Missoula 3-0 in the championship game. Both teams were undefeated going into Sunday and the Playmakers won the matchup of undefeated teams 3-2. Avalanche Cooke then beat the XTreme from Billings (finished third) to get back into the title game.

Team Administrators, Coaches, Adult Players, Other Adults and Fast Pitch Umpires. This year has brought about changes in our registration process that removed authority from team administrators; added actions required by coaches and others; and caused some headaches, Some of the coaches and others have yet tofully complete their background checks and/or Safe Sport or have not sysnced the two together. the link below provides guidlines and help to complete the process.

USA Softball Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy
In an effort to further protect our members, USA Softball has implemented a Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP),
which is part of a congressional mandate that limits one-on-one interactions between minor athletes and adults who are not their parent/legal guardian.
USA Softball has further developed our own MAAP designed to protect our members from various types of misconduct and abuse.

!!!Attention Tournament Directors/Organizers!!!
Montana JO tournaments must be USA Softball sanctioned before they can be posted on the USA Softball of Montana website.
Please contact your district commissioner and request that your tournament be sanctioned.
The district commissioner will then need to send me email confirmation. Montana District Commisioners can be found in the Contact section.
